Pitt AMA Members in Action
Josie is a junior majoring in Marketing and Business Information Systems. During the summer of 2019, Josie will work as the Youth Programs Assistant at the Westmoreland/Fayette Workforce Investment Board. She will oversee the State/Local Internship Program (SLIP) that helps college students receive wages while working unpaid internships. This requires coordinating over 20 interns and working with about 20 local businesses! Josie will also be involved with plenty of event planning and business administration. What is she most excited for? Developing the organization’s social media platforms and website! Apart from the amazing things Josie will be doing this summer, a fun fact about her is that she loves to knit, crochet, sew, and embroider in her free time!
On February 9th we held our 5th annual regional conference, Bridges to Success. The conference, sponsored by 321 Blink, gave students the chance to attend a panel of marketing professionals, a networking hour, concentrated breakout sessions, and participate in a case competition!
Our members were able to take a trip down to Lawrenceville for an afternoon of playing pinball and thrift shopping.
Thanks for reading. We had a great month at Pitt AMA and can't wait to see what's in store for March!
