I am honored to serve as the President of the Pittsburgh Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association! Since my freshman year, I have seen our organization begin as a small group of committed marketers and transform into one of the largest, most committed organizations in Pitt Business.
The umbrella under the major “Marketing” is wide. Because of the variety of paths students can take with this major, we explore industries such as sales, branding, advertising, event planning, entrepreneurship, social media and much more. Our committees continue to expand each year. We give students the opportunity to add skills to their resumes by attending sales and case competitions, executing a marketing plan, and planning a regional conference.
With a newly re-branded national American Marketing Association, our organization has adopted an “Answers in Action” mentality. We strive to develop professionally and provide insightful marketing knowledge to our local university community. Pitt Creative 360, our own marketing consulting agency, has completed several client projects and is a force for answers in action at Pitt. Our meetings consist of hearing from top marketers in the Pittsburgh area and participating in workshops led by AMA members.
The University of Pittsburgh American Marketing Association has given me life-long friends and professional contacts. While we concentrate on professional development, I have grown personally because of interactions during AMA events and with executive board members. I hope to personally connect to each AMA member and always serve as a mentor.
Sincerely (And stay AMA-zing),
